  • All Day

Subject to the NSW State Government roadmap out of Covid lockdowns it is the intention of St Peter’s Shoalhaven Heads to reopen our doors on Sunday October 31st. Parish Bible Studies return to face to face gathering as of October 10th conducted in accordance with Covid rules. We welcome the changes and look forward to seeing you in church were we seek to introduce people to Jesus and help each other home to heaven.

Parish Council on October 7th, after discussion of New South Wales Covid restrictions agreed that church would continue to stream its services until such time as both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated can gather for church together. It is our expectation that the first gathered congregations will take place on Sunday, 31st October. Until that date you can access our online service at following the Service Streaming link.

With ten people allowed to meet in homes and increased numbers allowed in church, subject to the 1person /4 sqm, Bible Studies can commence to meet face to face as of October 11th. Attendance requires a person to be double vaccinated. If your group has members who are not vaccinated we encourage you to include them via zoom where ever you are able.

Gathered youth and children’s ministry will commence normal activities after October 31st.

The public health orders currently advise that we may only accommodate in-person participants:

  • who live in Regional NSW (which excludes Shellharbour and Greater Sydney)’
  • who are not required to ‘stay at home’ (due to contact with confirmed cases or venues);
  • who are not showing any flu-like symptoms;
  • who are fully vaccinated (noting that unvaccinated children under 16 can attend if accompanied by a fully-vaccinated adult from their household.);
  • who wear a face mask (unless under 12 or exempted); and
  • refrain from any group singing.

On Saturday 4th December it is expected that most restrictions will be lifted, masks removed (when happy to do so) and we can begin to sing together again.

All of this is obviously subject to State Government change but I pray that we now have a stable vision for the future.

I thank God for our fellowship as a church, for your faithful commitment to join on line services and zoom gatherings. I look forward to seeing you all face to face as we follow the roadmap to reopening church as we once new it.
