Scottie Scheffler is the world’s Number One golfer; winner of multiple major tournaments including the British Open and US Masters. Surprisingly, Scottie has often said golf isn’t his everything. That’s because Scottie is also a Christian who claims he has received the eternal prize and been given top ranking, by being known and saved by Jesus. Consequently, his status does not depend on how many shots he takes to get around a golf course, how many weeks he can stay at Number One, or how many major tournaments he can win. Where do we look for our security, acceptance and worth? Essentially, what are the things that matter most to us and that we live for? These are some of the issues we explore each week in our Sunday services at St Peter’s, as well as at an upcoming ‘Christianity Explored’ course we will be hosting during the week.
